I’m Miss Mina Murray, Prima Diva (that means “First Lady” or “Biggest Pain-in-the-Ass”, depending on whom you ask) of BeauTease Burlesque (formerly The Boston Babydolls), Headmistress of the Boston Academy of Burlesque Education, and author of Miss Mina Murray’s Little Book of Better Burlesque & Miss Mina Murray’s Little Book of Burlesque Costuming, Vol. 1: The Foundations.
This is where I write letters to the world. Missives are sent out a couple times a week. Fridays are reserved for Friday Tips — snippets of advice about burlesque, which means performance, costuming, hair & make-up, business, and anything else I feel can benefit the burlesque entertainer. Additionally one can expect to find costume pictures, recipes, and other ramblings.

The Kitchen is where you will find my culinary adventures and occasionally recipes. Search on the tag historic cookery for culinary experiments from the Middle Ages to Mid-century.
The Library is the place to go for book reviews.
Rehearsal Room should be self-explanatory.
The Sewing Room is where I make my costumes and clothing.
My Suitcase is what I take traveling and touring.
The Theatre is where you can read about shows I have seen or been in.
My Writing Desk is for missives that don’t really belong elsewhere in The Manor.

I’m not sure if you ever got around to reading my book “We Weren’t Angels: A Memoir of Sex, Drugs and Crime in Boston’s Combat Zone,” (2023) but it’s both a memoir and a history of the people and clubs of the Zone from someone who was there.
